CD02 in Qatar
The CD02 monitors driver alertness from a small dashboard footprint. It is designed to take as little space as possible and to avoid obstructing the driver’s view, while watching for the behaviour that causes incidents.
Where it is used
Fitted to vehicles running a JC450 series system, where fleet operators want driver monitoring alongside the road and cabin views.
What it watches for
Signs of inattention behind the wheel, reported in real time so supervisors can manage patterns rather than discover them after an incident. Like all driver monitoring, it works best when drivers know it is there and understand what it looks for.

Positioned so it sees the driver’s face across normal seating positions, aimed on the live view and tested in daylight and darkness. Installed by our technicians with warranty and local support.

How does it differ from the JC170?
The JC170 is a standalone DMS camera with its own alerts. The CD02 is a peripheral camera for a JC450 system, keeping everything on one recorder.
Does it block the windscreen?
No. Its small size is the point, and we position it so the driver’s view is unaffected.
Can alerts be reviewed later?
Yes, through the platform, along with the other channels on the recorder.

Getting driver monitoring accepted
The fleets where driver monitoring works are the ones that explain it before fitting it. Tell drivers what is detected, that alerts are given to them first, and that the reports are used to manage fatigue risk rather than to catch people out. Where shift patterns themselves are the cause, the data gives an operations manager the evidence to change them.
