Do you cover the whole of Qatar?
Yes. Our office is in Doha and our technicians install across the country, including sites in Al Rayyan, Al Wakrah, Al Khor, Dukhan, Mesaieed and remote locations. Technicians travel with the equipment needed for a first-time fix, because a return visit costs everyone a day.
Do you supply equipment without installation?
We can, and we also install and maintain. Most clients ask us to do all three so responsibility for the result sits in one place, but supply-only is available where you have your own capable team.
How quickly can you visit?
A survey is usually arranged within days. Tell us if the matter is urgent and we will give you a realistic answer rather than an optimistic one.
Do you publish prices?
No, because every installation is quoted from a survey and a published figure would be wrong for most sites. What we will do is give you a realistic range early in the conversation, before anyone spends time on a proposal that is far from your budget.
What warranty do you provide?
Equipment carries manufacturer warranty and our installation work is warranted. Maintenance agreements are available for systems that need regular attention, which in Qatar’s climate is most of them.
About GPS tracking
How long does tracker installation take?
An OBD plug-in device takes minutes. A concealed hardwired installation usually takes between thirty and sixty minutes per vehicle.
Will a tracker drain the battery?
No. Correctly installed devices draw very little current and sleep when the ignition is off. Battery and solar asset trackers are a separate case and are chosen for the standby time needed.
Is there a monthly cost?
Tracking needs a data SIM and platform access. Both are quoted with the system so the running cost per vehicle is clear before you commit.
Can existing trackers move to your platform?
Sometimes, depending on the make and model. Send us the model number and we will tell you honestly whether migration or replacement is the better route. More detail is on the vehicle tracking page.
About CCTV
How many cameras does a villa need?
Most villas are covered properly by four to eight cameras: the gate, driveway, main door, rear access and one or two overviews. Cameras placed well beat more cameras placed badly.
How long is footage kept?
That depends on the number of cameras, resolution, frame rate and storage. We calculate the real retention at design stage and put the number in the proposal rather than quoting an optimistic figure.
Can I view cameras from outside Qatar?
Yes, through a mobile app or browser. Remote access is configured and tested with you at handover. See the CCTV page for how systems are designed.
Will the system work in a power cut?
Only if it is on a UPS, which we size and quote where continuity matters.
About attendance and access control
Can one employee clock in for another?
Not with biometrics, which is the main reason organisations move away from cards.
What if a fingerprint will not read?
Face recognition or card plus PIN is used as a fallback, and the system records which method was used. On dusty sites we usually recommend face recognition as the primary method.
Does it work if the network fails?
Yes. Readers hold their user list and store punches locally, then synchronise when the connection returns.
Will it export to our payroll?

About television and sound
What is the difference between SMATV and IPTV?
SMATV distributes television over coaxial cable from shared dishes. IPTV carries it over the building’s data network. Which is cheaper depends entirely on the cabling your building already has. The SMATV and IPTV page explains both.
Can one building use both?
Yes, and many do, with existing coaxial areas staying on SMATV while new areas move to IPTV.
Why is speech unclear in our hall?
Usually too few speakers playing too loudly in a room with hard surfaces. The fix is more speakers at lower volume, aimed at people rather than walls, with processing to tame the frequencies the room exaggerates. See the sound systems page.
About cabling
Cat6 or Cat6A?
Cat6 suits most offices today. Cat6A is the sensible choice for longer runs, high-power PoE devices and cabling intended to outlast several generations of equipment.
Will every cable be tested?
Yes, and you receive the results as a document. A link that lights up is not the same as a link that will carry its rated speed. The structured cabling page covers our testing and documentation.
Can you certify cabling installed by someone else?
Yes. Testing an inherited installation is a common first step before investing in new equipment, and it often explains problems previously blamed on software.
