Dash cameras in Qatar: seeing what happened, not just where

Tracking tells you a vehicle braked hard on Al Rayyan Road at 14:20. A dash camera tells you why: a car pulled out, a pedestrian stepped off a kerb, or the driver was looking at a phone. For fleets in Qatar, that difference decides insurance claims, settles accusations against drivers, and shows exactly which habits need coaching.

The range we install

  • JC450 Series: a multi-channel LTE system for commercial vehicles, recording up to five channels with ADAS and DMS alerts, an in-cab SOS button and event-triggered clips.
  • JC261P: a dual-lens unit covering the road and the cabin, with infrared night vision on the inward lens.
  • JC261: road-facing with an optional second camera for the driver, the cabin or the rear.
  • JC400 and JC400P: 4G dashcams for fleet safety programmes, the JC400P integrating a cabin camera into the main unit.
  • JC181: compact video telematics with onboard storage for straightforward fleet visibility.
  • JC120: a cost-effective 4G camera for larger rollouts where budget per vehicle matters.
  • JC170: a dedicated driver monitoring camera that detects fatigue and distraction and warns the driver immediately.

ADAS and DMS, in plain terms

ADAS watches the road and warns about lane departure and closing too quickly on the vehicle ahead. DMS watches the driver and warns about fatigue, distraction, phone use and smoking. Both matter most on long, monotonous runs, which describes a great deal of driving in Qatar. Alerts are given to the driver in the cab first, which is what actually changes behaviour, and reported to the platform for review.

Live video and evidence

4G models stream live video on request, so a supervisor can look at a situation as it happens. Event clips are uploaded automatically when a harsh event or collision is detected, and footage can be requested from the device later. Cameras report into the same Tracksolid Pro platform as our vehicle trackers, so location and video are reviewed together rather than in two systems.

Expanding a camera

Most models accept peripheral cameras for the cabin, the rear, the side or cargo. That is usually cheaper than a second recorder and keeps everything on one channel list.

Installation

We fit cameras so the lens sees what it should, which is not always where the bracket is easiest to mount. Aiming is checked on the live view before the vehicle leaves, and night performance is verified rather than assumed. Call 4421 2322 to discuss a fleet rollout.

Questions before a dash camera rollout

Does a dash camera record all the time?

It records continuously to local storage, and uploads clips when an event is triggered or when you request footage. That keeps data costs sensible while the evidence is still there when needed.

How much footage is kept on the device?

It depends on the card size, the number of channels and the resolution. We size it so you have enough history to investigate an incident reported a few days late.

Do drivers need to do anything?

No. The camera starts with the vehicle. Drivers should know it is fitted and what it records, which is both fair and the fastest way to get the behaviour benefits.

Can it see at night?

Cabin-facing lenses use infrared, so they work in darkness. Road-facing performance depends on the model and the lighting, and we will show you real night footage from the model you are considering.

Does it work with our existing trackers?

If the trackers are on the same platform, yes, and location and video appear together. If they are on another platform, tell us the make and we will explain the options honestly.
