VERSATILE LONG-TERM ASSET MONITORING
Independent GPS Trackers with Extended Battery Life
Our Asset Trackers have diverse GPS asset trackers supporting different networks and different tracking modes. With batteries ranging from 2,500mAh to 10,000mAh, Jimi asset trackers are suitable for both short-term and long-term asset tracking. Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or special needs, we are ready to offer our best service.
Asset trackers in Qatar for equipment that has no power of its own
Trailers, generators, lighting towers, compressors, containers and site equipment are expensive, portable and easy to lose track of. They also have no ignition feed to power a conventional tracker. That is what asset trackers solve: a self-contained device with its own battery, or a solar panel, that reports position and movement for months or years without being wired to anything.
Battery asset trackers
The LL302 is a 4G wireless tracker with GPS and BDS positioning, a light sensor that detects the device being uncovered or removed, and alerts for abnormal vibration and low battery. It suits trailers, containers, tool stores and anything that moves occasionally and should not move unexpectedly.
Solar asset trackers
The LL303 adds a solar panel and an IP67 rating, which in Qatar means it can sit on a machine outdoors and keep charging itself through the summer. It is designed for construction vehicles, plant and vessels, where a device that needs recharging every few months is a device that will eventually be flat when you need it.
What you actually gain
- Location on demand, so nobody spends a morning phoning sites to find a compressor.
- Movement alerts outside working hours, which is when equipment usually disappears.
- Utilisation evidence: which machine sat idle for three weeks, and which site actually has the item being invoiced for.
- Recovery, because a stolen asset that reports its position is an asset the police can be directed to.
Fitting and reporting interval
Asset trackers are magnetically mounted or fixed in a concealed position, and the reporting interval is set to balance visibility against battery life. Equipment that moves daily is configured differently from a container that moves twice a year, and we set that with you rather than leaving it at a default that drains the battery in a quarter.

Questions about asset tracking
How long does the battery last?
It depends entirely on the reporting interval. A device reporting once a day lasts far longer than one reporting every few minutes. We set the interval to match how the asset is used, and the solar LL303 removes the question for equipment that sits outdoors.
Will it survive a construction site?
The models we supply for sites are IP rated for dust and water and are mounted where they are protected from impact. We choose the mounting position during the survey rather than leaving it to whoever is nearest on the day.
Can it tell me if equipment is being used, not just where it is?
Movement and vibration sensing gives a reliable picture of whether a machine is working or idle, which is usually what a utilisation question really means.
What happens if an asset is stolen?
You see the movement alert, then the live position. That information is what the authorities need to act, and it is the reason asset tracking pays for itself the first time it matters.
Can I move a tracker between assets?
Yes. The device is reassigned on the platform so history stays with the right asset, and we can show your team how to do that themselves.
